Ilaaom Presents:  Justin Pomeroy:  Classical point combinations for psycho-emotional disorders

 

This 2 1/2 Day class will introduce the psycho-emotional components from Eastern and Western perspectives and give practitioners new skills and understandings to help better treat all their patients.

About the presenter:  Justin Pomeroy, Lic. Ac., NCCAOM, AOBTA

Justin Pomeroy has a 33-year experience studying, teaching and practicing Chinese medicine specializing in psycho-emotional disorders. He first studied at the North American College of Acupuncture (Vancouver, 1973). Then he entered the American College of Acupuncture where he studied Meridian Therapy with Dr. Yamani (1973-1975). From 1975 to 1977 he studied and graduated from the Chicago Oriental Acupuncture Academy with Shin Hak Pang. It was there that he met Paul Zmiewski. Paul and Justin founded the Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine—now the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine (Chicago, 1978). Justin spent six years in Stockholm, Sweden as Chairman chief instructor of the Acupressure Therapy Department of Axelsons Institute (1988-1994). In 2004, he completed a two-year training in Internal Family Systems Therapy with Richard Schwartz PhD. Currently, he directs the Life Gate Center in Chicago where he utilizes acupuncture, acupressure, Chinese herbal medicine and counseling.
